OVERLAPPING WEAR PLEATS
Upgrade our Economy Loading-Dock Seal with our Overlapping Wear Pleats, and you’re providing that dock seal with extra protection against wear and tear.
Overlapping Wear Pleats are individually sewn onto the face of a dock seal. What they protect against is the up-and-down movement of a truck against the dock-seal pads during cargo loading or unloading – as heavy forklifts move in and out of the truck.
The individual Overlapping Wear Pleats themselves move up and down, independently of each other, as the truck moves up and down, thus reducing friction against the dock-seal pads. The pleats also accommodate imperfections at the rear of a truck. All of this dramatically extends the life of a dock seal.
